Retractor system automatically retracts the hoist cable away from the trajectory of a basketball when the backstop is in the down (playing) position.
Hoist cable is retracted by 1/8" diameter galvanized aircraft cable, which is routed with a special pulley system to a concealed weight located inside the 6-5/8" OD mast tube of the 917 backstop. The weight/pulley system automatically retracts the hoist cable as the backstop is lowered into position.
For use only on 917 forward fold backstops with attachment height over 25'.
