Coach Typer, PE teacher and Coach at Unity High School in Tolono, IL, experienced the speed of the Rapid Lift winch firsthand. Here's what he had to say,

“When our main gym was constructed there were only standard speed winch hoists offered, and individual key switches were the primary control source on the market.  Most coaches, athletic directors, or facility managers have probably lived a similar experience as me when setting up the gym-it’s one more thing we need to get done during a long, busy day.  It is evident that the new Rapid-Lift winch hoist offered by Porter Athletic will substantially cut down on event turnover time in the gym, compared to nearly all facilities built in the past.  I could easily see some facilities cutting their turnover time by a factor of 10 when combining Rapid-Lift winches with one of Porter’s Powr Touch control systems.  I expect the operational time savings gained back in a heavily used gym would be measured in hours each week by using Porter’s Rapid-Lift winches and a Powr Touch controller.  This would be especially true for facilities who host multiple practices, games, and events each day.”
