Are You Forgetting Anything When it Comes to YOUR Meets?
The past few weeks have been exciting for the track & field community as all eyes have been on the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. If you follow our social media you’ll see that our team has been there to supply the equipment and help with the set up. It’s a team effort to get everything ready and we like to show off that effort with photos. Of course, we can’t show a photo of everything, so we usually just show off some of the bigger pieces. But what about the smaller items that are equally important? Are there any items that you may be forgetting at YOUR meets?
While we all know you can't have a meet without things like landing pads or hurdles, there is some equipment that we think may be getting overlooked when it comes to your next meet. We’ve put together a list, so you don’t have to worry about anything at the last minute.
Crossbars:
You can never have enough crossbars for pole vault and high jump. If you happen to find yourself needing any crossbars quickly our 3 Piece Crossbar has been designed to expedite shipping.
Certification Kits:
Some of you may not have hosted in over a year so you may not have used yours in awhile. Is It all still there? And for those of you wanting to go easy on your body while checking the length of a hammer, our R&D team have redesigned our Hammer Length Gauge for a more ergonomic usage.
Check Your Discus/Hammer Cage Net:
It’s super important to check your nets for any damage. Damaged netting could result in harm to athletes, officials, or spectators. If you keep your nets outside there’s always a risk of wind damage, so our R&D team came up with a small solution to a big problem. Our Ball Stop Net Release is designed to break during high winds.
Hip/Bib Numbers:
This may seem like an easy one to remember but you don’t want to be the one to forget it. We all know these are important.
Starting Blanks/HALO:
When it comes to a starting sound there are all kinds of rules and regulations. So, if your athletes cannot hear the sound of the starting pistol equally then it cannot be used. Our new HALO Electronic Starter Device + Wireless Starter System meet all the requirements. Anyone who has not made the switch, you’ll want to make sure you have plenty of blanks.
Check Your Take Off Boards:
Like with the netting you want to make sure your take off boards are in good shape. You don’t want to cause any harm to the athletes.
Tape Measures:
Athletes want to go the distance so you need to make sure you are able to measure that distance.
